Attention NTCR Community
We are temporarily closing intake for NON-NTCR cats. Our resources and space are limited. If your cat is not from NTCR, you can contact the shelter or rescue where you adopted them or explore other rehoming options.

For Those Surrendering NTCR Cats
Please do not abandon them or take to other shelters.
If you adopted your cat from NTCR and need to surrender them, please schedule an appointment with us (See link under the Adoption column). We may have a waiting list for openings in our foster homes, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for understanding and supporting our mission!

Meet Navarre! He's one of the sweetest, happiest cats you'll ever meet. He needed lots of medical care and TLC to survive and get to where he is now. He came to us from a shelter in Louisiana. He'd been trapped and left in the trap for more than 24 hours. His face was very banged up because of this...naturally, he tried to escape his tiny prison, which he was left in for far too long. He had a very bad upper respiratory infection by the time he came to us. He required a feeding tube and numerous medications to recover. Yes, he looks "odd" to most; however, he has what's known as eyelid agenesis. It's a birth defect where the eyelids do not form properly. He's been to a specialist and has been on several rounds of eye medications to help clear up infections. The specialist did NOT recommend surgery or believe that Navarre needed surgery for his eyelids. Navarre has early/immature cataracts, these are likely congenital and do not bother him. He sees very well given these "issues." He's his foster mom's "lovable gremlin." If you're interested in meeting or adopting Navarre, please fill out an application and his foster mom will be in touch!
