KITTEN ADOPTIONS Whenever possible, kittens under the age of 16 weeks must be adopted in pairs for proper behavioral development. At that age a kitten needs the companionship of another kitten of the same age to play and learn proper behaviors such as not to play rough or bite. A kitten raised with a kitten of his/her own age will not become a biter or rough player with children. In addition, kittens that have a playmate won't become destructive out of boredom. An older cat can't replace a playmate of the same age because he/she doesn't have the same level of energy! Lastly, there is the fun factor. Watching kittens exploring, learning, and playing is pure joy. |
