PSA pic Surrenders
Attention NTCR Community
We are temporarily closing intake for NON-NTCR cats. Our resources and space are limited. If your cat is not from NTCR, you can contact the shelter or rescue where you adopted them or explore other rehoming options.

For Those Surrendering NTCR Cats
Please do not abandon them or take to other shelters.
If you adopted your cat from NTCR and need to surrender them, please schedule an appointment with us (See link under the Adoption column). We may have a waiting list for openings in our foster homes, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for understanding and supporting our mission!

North Texas Cat Rescue
Always Helping the Cats of North Texas

NTCR takes in and cares for cats and kittens from local animal shelters in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, rescues abandoned felines from other locations and accepts kittens and cats surrendered by owners to the extent of its resources, which greatly rely on the availability of foster homes.* NTCR and its volunteers are sincere and diligent in their efforts to care for these abandoned animals. They are not only fed and sheltered but also vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. Sometimes a special cat or kitten comes along that requires extra medical care. NTCR raises the funds needed for surgery and medicine and nurses him or her back to health.

*NTCR is limited by the number of foster homes available to take in rescued and abandoned cats. Sadly, we have reached our limit and can not take in anymore rescued or abandoned cats unless they were previously adopted through NTCR and are surrendered by their owners or if they are implanted with one of our  microchips.
