Mingo is a mix of two sweet-tempered cat breeds -- Scottish Fold and Snowshoe -- and he's just as sweet as you could imagine! He's calm in almost any situation (his name is short for "Placid Domingo"). He gets along with cats, dogs, and children.

He has a majestic comic dignity that comes out when he sprawls on the sofa, drinks out of the sink with water running over his head, or falls over backwards in slow-motion when looking at the ceiling fan. 

Sadly, this great cat was left at a high-kill shelter by his family when they moved, but adjusted very quickly to his foster home. His former family reported that he has joint problems and sometimes has trouble moving around (a common problem in Scottish folds), but in foster care he's gotten around just fine. Because of his age and potential mobility problems, he would not do well with very young children.
