Mufasa aka "Moofers" or "Moofs" is a giant, suuuuuper affectionate boy! He had to have eye surgery for entropion (a portion of the eyelid is inverted or folded inward, and can cause an eyelash or hair to irritate and scratch the surface of the eye.)  Mufasa is completely recovered and won’t suffer from this issue again. You’ll see in several photos where Moofs looks like his eyes are “gunky” this was pre-surgery. He’s all healed up and ready for his forever home. Mufasa loves everyone he meets. He’s a big time snuggler, likes to cuddle up with his foster at bed time, and loves to be held! Yes, he’s cuddling a teddy bear on top of the refrigerator in one photo…he pulled the teddy bear out and up onto the ‘fridge. He follows his foster mom around and just likes to be near her, or anyone else that comes over. He is an "in your face" or "under your feet" kind of cat. He was rescued from a shelter and had been an outdoor cat, which means he likely had to scrounge for food. Because of that, he's very nosy about human meals. His foster is trying to break him of his curiosity, but he will likely behave this way for some time...until he realizes that he doesn't have to worry about when/where his next meal is coming from. He's very food motivated (obviously). He will try to follow his foster mom through any door, which means outside too. Because of that his forever home needs to be cognizant of him and doors; however, he’s perfectly happy to be an indoor kitty. He is FIV positive but do not let that deter you from adopting him. FIV kitties can live long, healthy lives. The exact same life span as non FIV kitties, in fact. FIV kitties can also live quite well with non-FIV kitties...which is the scenario in Moofs foster home. (We’ve included an infographic on FIV in his photos.) Mufasa has excellent litter box and scratching post manners.
