Ellie, or Ellie Belle as her foster likes to call her, is a gorgeous girl with beautiful coloring/markings. We aren't sure how she ended up at a shelter, because she is very gentle and affectionate with people. She would prefer to have her humans all to herself and would be happiest as an only cat in a quiet home. She does not like adoption events and therefore doesn't "show" well, which deters potential adopters. She is very calm and happy in her foster home. She loves to sit on the window sill and watch all the birds, squirrels, and other wildlife go by. Ellie is FIV positive, but do not let that deter you from adopting her. FIV kitties can live very long, healthy lives. The exact same life span, in fact, as non FIV kitties - 15-20 years! So Ellie has MANY years of love to give. And, FIV is not easily transmitted as we (in rescue or vet practices) once thought it was. It is usually passed via deep, bite wound where blood is exchanged.
