Herbie is an exceptionally sweet boy...who's impossible to get a good photo of because he just wants to be loved! He was left in a carrier in the 100+ temps outside of a local ranch. Thankfully, the owners happened to walk to the gate and found him. They immediately brought him to their vet, which happens to be an NTCR vet too. Herbie had a badly injured leg and while he got the best care – lots of TLC and medical care, he ultimately needed that leg amputated. (It's his right, rear leg.) Herbie is fully recovered and while he only has 3 legs, it doesn’t slow him down. He’s very playful and loves toys. He’s also incredibly affectionate! He’s an expert biscuit maker who drools a LOT when he’s kneading and happy. His tongue sticks out when he’s doing this too, so the drool is excessive. There's nothing wrong with his mouth or teeth to cause the drool. Some cats do this when they're really happy and he's one of them. He is being slowly introduced to other cats with mixed results. He'd probably be happiest as an only cat. He is not fostered with dogs so we don't know how he'd do with dogs. Herbie does not like car rides and will unleash his Siamese MEOWWWW to vocalize his displeasure.
