MacDuff is a beautiful, fabulous and affectionate boy. He’s a “velcro kitty” / “in your face kitty.” He basically wants to be with his people all the time and loved on constantly. He’s a lap cat and will push his face into yours for kisses and love. I’ve had cats like him returned for being “too affectionate” – so please be sure you WANT this type of personality versus wanting his breed. He will love bite, so he is probably not the best match for a home with very young children. He loves to talk - well, it's more of a whirling noise versus a meow. He loves toys – in particular balls or anything that rolls – so he can bat them around and chase them. MacDuff has excellent litter box and scratching post manners.

MacDuff is FIV positive. If you're not familiar with FIV, it stands for feline immunodeficiency virus. It is a virus that is not transmittable to other species and only spread from cat-to-cat via blood - so deep bite wounds. It is not uncommon for an unneutered male cat living outside to contract FIV. MacDuff is neutered and lives with non-FIV and FIV+ cats in his foster home without any issues/concerns about the virus being spread. FIV does not negatively effect a cat's life or lifespan nor does it impact their quality of life. FIV+ cats may have above average dental disease, i.e. need dentals sooner or more often. But, that’s not always true with every FIV+ cat. In MacDuff’s case, his teeth are beautiful – very white and no tartar noted. However, it is very important FIV+ cats are taken for yearly check-ups at the vet and their teeth are checked. MacDuff is accepting applications for adoption so if you are interested, please fill one out and his foster will contact you.
