Attention NTCR Community
We are temporarily closing intake for NON-NTCR cats. Our resources and space are limited. If your cat is not from NTCR, you can contact the shelter or rescue where you adopted them or explore other rehoming options.

For Those Surrendering NTCR Cats
Please do not abandon them or take to other shelters.
If you adopted your cat from NTCR and need to surrender them, please schedule an appointment with us (See link under the Adoption column). We may have a waiting list for openings in our foster homes, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for understanding and supporting our mission!

Kemnebi was rescued at the last minute from Amarillo Shelter. His sweet outgoing personality was obvious despite being very sick with URI. He soon left the shelter to be fostered by a very nice lady in Amarillo who took him to the vet to be treated. Kemnebi stayed with her until he was well enough to travel to DFW. Kemnebi is a very gentle giant : laidback, mellow and such a big purr machine. He loves all kitties in his foster home. He took Hercules a little black kitten with a deformed front paw under his wing. He grooms him and while little Hercules was sick he kept him warm and watched over him. Kemnebi won't have any trouble to adjust to his new family. Kemnebi's right eye sometimes become a bit watery: this was caused to the very severe conjunctivitis he had when at the shelter. He might need some drops from time to time. We will send him home with a bottle of eye drops. Kemnebi is FIV+. FiV+ cats leave a long healthy life as FIV- do. They are perfectly fine to live with FEL- cats. please ask a counselor for more information on FIV.
