We are temporarily closing intake for NON-NTCR cats. Our resources and space are limited. If your cat is not from NTCR, you can contact the shelter or rescue where you adopted them or explore other rehoming options.
 
For Those Surrendering NTCR Cats
Please do not abandon them or take to other shelters.
If you adopted your cat from NTCR and need to surrender them, please schedule an appointment with us (See link under the Adoption column). We may have a waiting list for openings in our foster homes, so your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Hello World! My name is Lightening and I'm here to find my new home! I was brought up as a street kitty by my feral momma. She did a good job raising me but I learned to be scared of humans. Thankfully I made my way into a foster home where I have learned that they aren't so bad after all! Did you know they give you snacks? I had to let her pet me though to get them though. At first it was weird and I didn't like it but I gave in and it feels so good! Now I chirp and ask for more! She even got me to purr. Now I look forward to visits and getting petted. I will probably be on the shy/scared side when I go to my new home. Give me some quiet time in a small room and visit me with treats and that will help to encourage me to come out of my shell. I think I'd do best in a quiet home. I get along well with my sister so other kitties are likely fine. I'm not sure about dogs though but maybe!  I will be a good companion cat to hang around with. I love attention but may not be a lap cat. I will likely always hide from new strangers and loud noises. I think once I settle in and I am used to my new surroundings I will come visit you for scratches and a warm place to nap. I hope you'll look away from my past life and see all my potential! xo
