My mom rescued me from Collin County Animal Services 5 years ago. We had a really nice life together. She loved me and brushed me and told me I was handsome. She took really good care of me. I loved her and took really good care of her too! Mom started forgetting things. It wasn’t bad at first, but then she would sometimes forget my name. It was okay though, because I always knew her and loved her, and that was all that mattered to me. She started to forget a lot of things. One day her kids picked her up and said she had to move to a new home where she could be cared for, but I couldn’t go with her. I was really sad because I loved her a lot. It made me even sadder because they dumped me at a shelter that same day. Thankfully, the shelter scanned me for a microchip, and wouldn’t you know it, it was the same shelter she adopted me from years ago! The volunteers were awesomely nice and told me everything was going to be okay. They would help find me a new home. And so I waited. Days passed. People looked at me and said I was handsome, which is what my mom said. I was hoping someone would want me to be their kitty friend. But then people said I was too old and they wanted a kitten. That made me sad too because I’m playful and affectionate, just like a kitten! The volunteers knew I needed out of the shelter and asked something called a rescue to help me. They said "YES!" So now, I’m in a foster home with a foster mom. She said she’s going to take good care of me and help find me a new home. I’m very excited and happy! She said to be sure to tell you that I have very nice litter box manners and am good with my scratching posts. I’m very, very cuddly and affectionate. I would love a new person – a mom or dad…or both! There are other cats in my foster home. They aren’t bad, but I would be happiest as an only kitty. I can be a rough player so no small children in my forever home, please. If you’re interested in meeting or adopting me, foster mom says to fill out an application and she will be in touch!
