Osiris is a gorgeous, super chill, all around awesome and cuddly cat. He has very thick, plush fur. He's loves to be brushed and scratched. He’s very much a lap cat too! You’ll notice that he has a scratch that may be a permanent scar near his eye. This happened when he was living as a stray kitty. Osiris doesn't have a  typical "meow" but rather a whirrrrr sound…you can check it out in his video. O siris is FIV positive. If you’re not familiar with that, it stands for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Don’t let it scare you off…it is a virus that is not transmittable to other species and only spread from cat-to-cat via blood - so deep bite wounds or moms to babies. Veterinary medicine has learned a TON about the disease in recent years. It does not negatively affect a cat's life or lifespan nor does it impact their quality of life. FIV+ cats may have above average dental disease, i.e. need dentals sooner or more often, but there’s no way to determine if a cat falls into this category. It's not always a truism with every FIV+ cat. It's really important that when FIV+ cats are taken for yearly check-ups at the vet, their teeth are also checked.
